For the first time ever, artists and aspiring artists can now learn semi-permanent lip makeup at Eye Design University!
We are so excited to be hosting a full-day training workshop for semi-permanent lip makeup directly following our next Powder Effect MasterClass. MasterClass will take place October 21 through October 23, with training for semi-permanent lip makeup taking place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on October 24.
So many of our students at previous Microblading and Powder Effect MasterClasses have expressed interest in learning semi-permanent lip makeup. This innovative technique, available to clients in Eye Design’s Fifth Avenue studio, visually enhances lips’ volume and definition, while providing a beautiful wash of color that lasts 12 to 18 months! Our clients love it, and we know our students will love it, too.
Eye Design offers three methods of pigment application for semi-permanent lip makeup: Soft Outline, Defined Outline and Ombré. It is up to the client what look they are trying to achieve, but of course, our technicians always help by providing their expert opinions!
Developed by Eye Design founder and Master Technician, our semi-permanent lip makeup treatment can also be used to correct asymmetry and reduce the appearance of age lines. It is a great way to introduce first-time clients to semi-permanent makeup, as well as the perfect addition to microblading or Powder Effect.
With minimum pain and discomfort, semi-permanent lip makeup is a favorite among Eye Design’s clients! We use hypoallergenic, mineral-based formulas and gentle techniques (no bleeding!), making the procedure safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Healing time post-procedure is quick!
Just like our Powder Effect technique for brows, our lip makeup technique is semi-permanent. This work is developed to fade naturally over time–it is not a tattoo! Our pigments can easily be removed with specialized equipment and will never turn an unnatural color under the skin.
If you’ve ever taken a Microblading or Powder Effect MasterClass with us, you are familiar with practicing on Eye Design’s premium artificial skin. Our team also developed artificial skin specifically for semi-permanent lip makeup! Students who choose to participate on October 24 will practice one-on-one with Eye Design’s instructors on this artificial skin.
Artificial skin is the most true-to-life way to gain experience before moving onto models and clients. Even Eye Design’s technicians, who have years of working with models and clients under their belts, still practice on artificial skin. Because it works well with pens and blades, as well as with machine tools, artificial skin is the best tool for trying new techniques or fine-tuning old ones.
Practice drawing different shapes on blank sheets of artificial skin or learn how to use pens, blades and machine tools when you opt for pre-drawn sheets!
