Every microblading, semi-permanent makeup and lash client deserves to be treated like a queen for the day. With advice directly from Eye Design’s 5-star technicians, you will be able to create a relaxing and professional atmosphere–even on your worst days!
Eye Design’s team of technicians has a reputation for being skilled and professional. This is something that we are very proud of here because we have all worked so hard to achieve it! But, we are not perfect.
We love what we do at our studio; helping other women feel confident and beautiful in their own skin is priceless! Although we definitely try our best to make every day a great day, that is not always possible for us (or anyone else, for that matter).
Because Eye Design strives to give all our clients the wonderful experience that they deserve, we formulated a handful of our own bad-day remedies along the way.
As Eye Design founder and Master Technician, I talked to our techs to get the scoop on the best mood-boosters for a not-so-great day at the office (I mean, studio).
My go-to: Tea & chocolate
You’ve heard me mention my solution to a stressful day before, but I’ve never told you why I love it–until now! Both foods are known for their ability to improve relaxation and overall mood.
“Scientists have found that theanine, an amino acid found in teas, acts as an antidepressant and a natural stress-reliever. Theanine has also be noted to perpetuate physical and mental relaxation and can decrease anxiety without causing sleepiness,” The Daily Meal reports.
“This happens because theanine affects serotonin and dopamine in the brain, neurotransmitters that give rise to a calm, happy and tranquil feeling.”
Similarly, many women turn to chocolate and other sweets when they are feeling down. I go for dark chocolate because it is healthier and the benefits are scientifically proven.
“Dark chocolate stimulates the production of endorphins, chemicals in the brain that create feelings of pleasure,” Rebecca Scritchfield, Registered Dietician and author of Body Kindness tells Reader’s Digest.
“Dark chocolate also contains serotonin, an antidepressant that can elevate mood,” Scritchfield continues.
Irina’s go-to: Thinking positive thoughts
It is super important not to let your cranky mood affect how you deal with clients. If you take out your stress on the clients, you will not have any left! Our clients are our livelihood.
Lash and semi-permanent makeup tech Irina keeps her cool by always thinking positive thoughts.
“I think in my head that I have to treat people the way I want to be treated,” she says. And her clients agree–Irina always treats them with the utmost respect no matter what.
